Questions
Will my photos lose quality?
Balanced removes detail your eyes don’t notice, so most photos look the same at a fraction of the size. Use Best quality for photos you plan to print, or tap a result to compare before and after.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Compression runs inside your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
Which formats can I compress?
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC (iPhone), GIF, BMP and TIFF. Each photo keeps its format unless you choose another. HEIC, GIF, BMP and TIFF photos are saved as JPG or PNG so they open everywhere.
Why did one photo not get smaller?
Some photos are already well compressed. If our version would be bigger, we keep your original and mark it “Already small”.
